Who We Are
After many years of working in Community Development and the Child Welfare system, Erin Rochon began searching for more of a creative outlet. Erin took a leap become an Interior Decorator and quickly fell in love with upcycling tired, outdated furniture, designing, handcrafting furniture and decor. Erin took her passion for teaching, creating and has grow it into a successful business called Bluebird Upcycled Style.
Erin teaches others how to find their creative outlet through her workshops, courses, videos, blogs and has been featured regularly on CTV Morning Live and Daytime Ottawa. She has had a spotlight in the Ottawa Citizen and other articles on her products and workshops. Erin is located in Ottawa, Ontario has recently moved into a new studio at 60 C Lyndale Ave.
What is Upcycling?
Upcycling is finding creative ways to use discarded, outdated or old materials and transform them into beautiful, functional pieces. Buying older pieces of furniture is owning a little bit of history, not to mention the quality is far more superior to the quality of furniture today.
